ABSTRACT

The influnce of factidious host eggs and various temperature regimes on biological performance of Trichogrcimma embryophagum was investigated. The result indicated that the highest parasitism and adult emergence were on Ephestia calidella eggs which were 78% and 96% respectively, in comparission with E. cautella and Ephestia figuliella eggs. The effect of temperatures of 14, 20, 22, 25, 30, 33, • • and 35 ± 1 C on parasitism potency indicated that 25C was the optimum and the highest critical level was 37 C and the lowest was 12C. The result also depicted in inverse relationship between extremes of temperature and developmental period, which was 36 days at 14 C and 7 days at 33 C while there was no parasitoid emergence at 35 C.
