ABSTRACT

The aim of present study was to evaluate the effect of cordia myza fruits (cold water, hot water, alcholic) extracts at three concentrations (5.0, 10.0, 15.0%) on the radial growth, dry weight and spores germination percentage of five plant pathogenic fungi, Fusarium solani, Alternaria alternata, Rhizopus stolonifer, Helminthosporium sativum and Rhizoctonia solani. And compare these effect with the effect of two fingicides Benlate and Botran at 500 p.p.m concentration.

The results showed that, hot water extract was the best in reducing the radial growth, dry w'eight and spores germination percentage of the fungi then cold water extract, while alcoholic extract was weak in it’s effect. Also the results showed that the effects of hot water extract significantly simillar to the effect of the fungicides on the pathogenic fungi.
