Abstract:

The paleoecology of the Upper Cretaceous  succession of Khashab well (1) Hamrin area have been investigated statistical analysis on the Ostracode fauna lead to the recognition of five ecozones , that in turn can be related to various pale ecological factors.

The use of Cytheracea, Cytherellidae, Bairdiacea, Cypridacea triangular diagram (CCBC plot) allows a reconstruction of me Upper Cretaceous paleoecology and the local sea level fluctuations.

All these data Lead to final conclusions that the studied succession have been deposited under low energy, open water normal marine salinity .
