ABSTRACT

The problem of estimating the location of radiating source from measurement, provided by an array of sensors, arises, frequently, in sonar, radar, and seismology. Three different optimization methods (Steepest Descent, Davidon-Fletcher-Powell, and Fletcher-Reeves methods), For estimating the location of the radiating source have been adopted. The numerical results show that the accuracy ratio for estimating the location of the source is 99.99%-100% depending on the optimized method that is used.
